Art in the Cellar
Terms and Conditions of Service
By submitting an item to Art in the Cellar (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for engraving services, the customer (“you” or “client”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Nature of Services
Art in the Cellar is a custom engraving business. We engrave items supplied by customers and return the engraved item upon completion.

We do not sell or purchase items on behalf of customers.

We do not hold an alcohol license and do not sell alcohol.

Any bottles or items submitted remain the property of the customer at all times.
2. Item Inspection & Acceptance
All items are inspected prior to acceptance.
We inspect for, but are not limited to:

Scratches
-
Dents
-
Ripped or damaged labels
-
Glass discoloration
-
Glass imperfections or defects
By accepting an item, Art in the Cellar acknowledges the item has passed initial inspection.
Once accepted, we will take reasonable care to protect the item while it is in our possession.
3. Risk Acknowledgment
Engraving is a permanent process and may affect the integrity of certain items.

Engraving glass (including wine or champagne bottles) may weaken the item, depending on glass thickness and structure.

We take precautions to avoid engraving too deeply; however, we are not responsible for breakage or weakening caused by engraving.

We are not responsible for damage or breakage after the item has been returned to the customer, including damage caused by dropping or mishandling.
4. Artwork, Layout & Customer Approval
Before engraving begins, customers must provide written approval (via email) of:

Final layout

Wording (names, dates, spelling, etc.)

Design or artwork
-
Color selection
Approval Window
-
Once approval is given, customers have 30 minutes to request changes.

After the 30-minute window, no changes will be accepted.

Engraving will proceed exactly as approved.
Errors & Responsibility
-
If the customer approves incorrect information (spelling, dates, wording, design), Art in the Cellar is not responsible, and no refund or replacement will be issued.

If the approved design is correct and our engraver makes an error, we will replace the item at no charge.
5. Permanence of Engraving & No Refund Policy

All engraving is permanent.
-
Once engraving has begun or completed, no refunds or replacements will be issued except in cases of engraver error as stated above.
6. Item Storage Policy
-
Items dropped off without immediate engraving will be held for 15 calendar days at no charge.
-
After 15 days, a storage fee of $5.00 per day will be charged.

Storage fees are billed weekly.
7. Shipped Items
-
Customers must notify us in advance if shipping an item.
-
Shipped items will be held for two (2) weeks after engraving is completed.
-
After two weeks, we will attempt to ship the item back.
-
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
8. Rush Orders
-
Engraving requested within 24 hours of approval is considered a rush order.
-
A $30.00 rush fee will be added to the invoice.
9. Pickup & Delivery Services
Pickup and delivery services are available upon request.
Fees:

Pickup and delivery: $25.00
-
Pickup only: $35.00
-
Delivery only: $25.00
A signature is required upon pickup or delivery, confirming the item has been returned intact.
10. Pricing & Quotes

All engraving services are quoted per job.
-
Base price for engraving any bottle begins at $50.00.

Pricing is influenced by:
-
Color
-
Size
-
Font
-
Number of letters
-
Logos
-
Custom graphic designs
-
Quotes are valid only for the specific job discussed.
11. Deposits for Large Orders

Orders of 50 or more items require a 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins.
12. Payment Methods
We accept:

Cash
-
Debit cards
-
Credit cards
-
Checks
Payment must be made in full before items are released unless otherwise agreed in writing.
13. Communication & Artwork Submission

All artwork, engraving details, and approvals must be submitted via email.

We are not responsible for:
-
Missed instructions sent through text messages
-
Text message carrier fees or charges incurred by the customer
-
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Art in the Cellar is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
-
Our liability, if any, is limited to the cost of the engraving service provided.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an item for engraving, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
